I always miss a local history. I lost many hour because of this missing feature.
..and do not say it't the same as version control! I will say it is more a extended undo because it will automatically save the history every time I press Ctrl+S.
So I easily can test something, or go back after a mistake, or do an intelligent compare (not only a text compare). Look at Eclipse.

And one again. This is not a replacement for a version control. I use CVS. But it is different. There I only checkin buildable versions. And I have to manually check in....
