Create new VB.net website project using VS2010, .NET 3.5
Add a suitably long line e.g.
Dim s As String = String.Format ("{0},{1},{2}", "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa","bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb","cccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc")
Run code cleanup and we get:
Dim s As String = String.Format ("{0},{1},{2}", "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa",
"bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb",
"cccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc")
which doesn't compile, with the error:
Error 1 Visual Basic 9.0 does not support implicit line continuation.
