I love that ReSharper recommends namespaces as you type. However, it would be even more useful if it would also recommend "using static" to help with static classes like System.Console and System.Diagnostics.Debug. For example, when typing "WriteLine" if ReSharper recommended "using static System.Console" that would be an incredible help. If the product can already do this and I'm missing something, please let me know.

File templates are very usefull, but I'm missing a feature. I've created a file template for a custom code analysis dictionary (FxCop). After I used the template I have to set the build action manually to "CodeAnalysisDictionary". Why can't this be integrated in the file template? That would reduce errors, when users forget to set the build action.

I want to define a file template where the default file name is populated using a macro rather than the user entering it into the dialog box.

For example, the filename should be "CurrentDate_00001"

I can't see way to set the default file name from a macro as it's just a textbox.

Description

Hi, I'm not sure when it started but Resharper is making VS 15.6.4 and .NET Framework 4.7.02556 dog-slow. It gives a warning when starting VS and remains slow throughout the entire development day. I have disabled Resharper and verified that is the cause.

Is there a fix for this? It is unusable as it is.

Open any solution in VS (2017 in my case)
Start to debug solution
Step to any data tip
Open menu 'Tools' -> 'Options' -> 'Fonts and Colors' -> find in the list 'Resharper debugger datda tip' and somehow change 'Item foreground'
Click on 'Ok'
The window is closed and in Editor nothing has changed - you'll have to click on more F10 to make next step and to see your changes in colours of data tips

I have a VSTO excel application and since I upgraded to resharper 2018 I am getting many errors telling me

cannot apply indexing to an expression of type Range as you can I am only retrieving a range.

One of our projects has this structure:
<ItemGroup Condition=" '$(MyCondition)' == 'Foo' "> 
<Compile Include="Foo\File.cs" /> 
<ItemGroup> 
<ItemGroup Condition=" '$(MyCondition)' == 'Bar' "> 
<Compile Include="Bar\File.cs" /> 
<ItemGroup>
Foo\File.cs and Bar\File.cs are implementing the same class in the same namespace but for different configurations. It seems like both are being included and Resharper gives an Ambiguous Reference warning and is thus unable to parse the files. Everything compiles and runs.

Any help would be appreciated as right now I have to run with Resharper disabled

Place a caret at test!=false or 1==1 or &&, choose any of the suggestions, for example
Remove expression for 1==1
Replace expression with 'true' for all the expression

The commentary is removed.
